What We Believe
Union Chappel is a Global Methodist church rooted in historic Christian orthodoxy and the Wesleyan movement. Everything we do flows from these core convictions:
Historic Creeds
We joyfully affirm the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed as faithful summaries of the biblical story—from creation to Christ’s promised return.
Essentials of the Faith
God
We believe in one holy, living, and triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternally one in essence, power, and glory.
Jesus Christ
Jesus is fully God and fully human, the eternal Word made flesh. Through His sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension, He is the only Savior and Lord of the world.
Holy Spirit
The Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son to convict, regenerate, sanctify, empower, and comfort all who believe.
Holy Scripture
The Old and New Testaments are God-breathed, trustworthy, and the final authority for faith and practice.
Humanity & Sin
We are created in God’s image yet fallen through sin, unable to save ourselves apart from God’s grace.
Salvation by Grace Through Faith
By God’s prevenient, convincing, justifying, and sanctifying grace, we are forgiven, reborn, and made holy through faith in Jesus Christ.
The Church
The Church is the Body of Christ, called to worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly to the ends of the earth.
Sacraments
We celebrate Baptism and Holy Communion as means of grace, open to all who repent and believe.
Last Things
Christ will return to judge the living and the dead, making a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells.
